The Church built by William Wilberforce
| St. Paul's Church has numerous plans to commemorate &
celebrate, the bicentenary of the passing of Wilberforce's
"Bill" to "Abolish the Transatlantic Slave Trade" on the
25th. March 1807. Talks are free & take place in St.
Paul's Church Hall, The Ridgeway, Mill Hill NW7.1QU.
Visitors are very welcome to all our events. |

- Saturday February 24th. 7.30pm-Opening concert by the
famous "London Community Gospel Choir".
- Friday, March 9th. 8.15pm.- "Talk," by Andrew Dismore
MP; "Member of Parliament for Hendon"- William Wilberforce, the
Parliamentarian & his contribution to the "Abolition of the
Slave Trade Act".
- Saturday, April 14th. 7.30pm.- "Talk" by Marylynn
Rouse; Director; "The John Newton Project"- John Newton, mentor
to William Wilberforce.
- Friday, May 18th. 8.15pm. - "Talk" by Sarah Williams,
"Campaigns Officer, Anti Slavery International". "Thomas
Clarkson, Wilberforce's right hand man".
- Saturday, June 2nd. 7.30pm - "Talk" by Prof. Jim
Walvin; Author & Historian, York University; "Britain & the
Transatlantic Slave Trade"
- Saturday, September 22nd. 7.30pm - "Talk" by Dr.
Michael Worms, Archivist at St. Paul's Mill Hill; "Wilberforce -
retirement to Mill Hill his continued campaigning for
emancipation & the building of his church".
- Saturday, October 13th. 4.30pm - "Talk" by Kevin
Belmonte; Author & biographer;
"Wilberforce, Friend of Humanity & his enduring influence.
